Dress your windows is an important part of its overall design and a lot of thought should go into the style and the fabric used for your bedroom window treatments.

How do you know which is correct treatment of their bedroom window?

There are 3 basic types of window treatments that can be used alone or in combinations. Here are some tips on these basic types and what style of room you can choose for themselves.

The curtains and draperies

Curtains and drapes are a style of window treatment that most of us can recognize, but there are many variations on this type loans. If your room design is simple, you can choose only light sheers as these will go well with many issues including a romantic theme, a theme modern and everything else.

Valances can be used to smooth the top of the window. They are great, if not to cover a great view, but do not want that the window to look too bare. Typically valances are made of fabric, but you can build your form of wood and decorated with an old paint or stencil to go with the design of Tuscan or French. Fabric valances can go with the theme of almost any room decor depending on the fabric you choose and can be used in conjunction with sheers to give a little privacy.

Curtains are an elegant window treatment bedroom. If you have a wonderful romantic, French or Victorian some heavy drapes in rich fabrics can transform your bedroom into one queen. Heavy curtains look best on tall windows, but if windows like most short Squatty of houses built in the 60's - 80's do not let that discourage the use of large panels. You can always keep them closed to hide the back window and no one will ever know the difference!

Wood blinds and shutters

Window blinds wooden deck is a great way to add the privacy of your room and can be used alone or with curtains, drapes and valances.

There are 2 styles of shutters - plantation shutters and café shutters.

The plantation shutters cover the whole window and have shutters that open and close for light or provide privacy. These windows are going very well with plantation style look, a country look or a coastal cottage look.

Café blinds are of which only cover the lower half of the window and open to let in the light These also look nice in a country or beach style bedroom and are perfect for a Paris apartment style too.

Fabric blinds

Fabric blinds add a nice touch to any bedroom and can be decorated and adorned with whatever you want. Fringe, pom-poms and ribbon are just some of the great ways to make these bedroom window treatments stand out.

Roman blinds work well for children's rooms and informal styles, such as style decor or beach house. These shades fold up to expose the window during the day and night filming.

Festoon blinds are puffy with a lot of material. They are very ornate and work best in a romantic style bedroom such as a ground for Victoria, French or Italian. Festoon blinds look best in the windows wide and might not be good for small rooms as they tend to be a bit overwhelming.
