Stretch fabric and its use in home decoration

Stretch fabric is not a natural fabric; rather it is a synthetic variant of fabric which can be stretched in all four directions. Stretch fabric has better elasticity than natural fabrics which can hardly be stretched in two opposite direction but with limited stretch ability.

Primarily this type of fabric was used in making different undergarments and swimsuits however with the change of tailoring concept some other uses of this fabric has came into common uses. For example, due to its unique flexibility it is widely used by interior decorators for making home decorating items.

Bedding material can be best made by using stretch fabrics ; pillow cover which needs a proper fit in accordance to pillow size can be well achieved by meticulous use of this fabric. This fabric is available in single-color-shades and also in floral prints and one can select the best category according to his/her discretion for providing a desired ambience in his home by designing proper upholstery.

Stretch fabrics are often used for making the canopy drapes over the head of the bed in bedroom and get to hang off the ceiling. In this Victorian style of home décor this stretchable fabric is often considered as one of the best ingredients for making this frilly room décor plan.
