Curtains or drapes - What room and why

I have a lot of emails from people all around cyberspace asking me to explain the difference between curtains and draperies. At the same time, those same people ask me curious as to direct them are the rooms of their own home in which to hang the curtains and what rooms should hang curtains. I will do my best to explain what kind of window treatment is right for your room.

Before First, let me say that I have to say that here are only suggestions. None of my suggestions in writing in stone. All I'm trying to do here is to give an idea or two for you to get a basic understanding of where you hang curtains and drapes to hang around your house. So let's get started ...

The first room of your house going to discuss is the living room. This would more than likely want to display a more formal aspect to the room. This room would be the place to show the curtains as the treatment of the main window.
