How to make a blanket?

I have some nice fleece, and I want to make a nice blanket. * No * one of those where you just clip the edges of two types of fleece and tie together. I really want to sew. And also, How do you wash wool? I wash it before sewing it as with other fabrics?

To avoid stretching too much, a hem rolled to the end of the year. More weight to the material, get another piece and sew, turn inside out. fun
